Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PriceBell (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a Shopify application that sends price drop email notifications to customers who subscribe to products.

2. Data we collect

• Customer email address — provided voluntarily when a customer subscribes to receive alerts when a product's price drops.
• Shopify product and variant IDs — to match the subscription to the correct product restock event.
• Purchase event data — anonymized conversion signals (did a notified customer purchase within 48 hours?) used to measure notification effectiveness.
• Shop domain — to route data to the correct merchant account.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above.

3. How we use the data

• Send a price drop notification email when the subscribed product's price drops.
• Show merchants aggregated analytics (subscriber counts, conversion rates) in their PriceBell dashboard.
• Improve notification delivery and timing.

We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

Subscriber records are kept until the customer unsubscribes, until the merchant removes them, or until a GDPR data deletion request is received. Notification audit records are retained for up to 12 months for delivery troubleshooting, after which email addresses are anonymized.

5. Customer rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact the merchant whose store you subscribed through, or email us at gonzalo5757@gmail.com.

Merchants may also submit data deletion requests on behalf of their customers via the Shopify Partner Dashboard GDPR workflows. We process those requests automatically within 30 days.

6. Data security

All data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases hosted on Railway (US region). Access is restricted to authenticated application processes only. API keys and secrets are stored as environment variables, never in source code.

7. Third-party services

• Resend — transactional email delivery. Customer email addresses are transmitted to Resend solely to send the notification. Resend's privacy policy: resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Railway — cloud hosting provider for the application and database.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated to merchants via the Shopify Partner Dashboard.
